Description of Research and Teaching
Dedong Ma designed series of positive pressure devices to treat sleep apnea, which can be used independently from the ventilator. Positive pressure mask and nasal blockage are applied for patent with sleep apnea for the first time in China. It can be used independently from the ventilator, convenient to carry, and effective, so that some patients with sleep apnea are no longer dependent on the ventilator. Because of its low cost and convenient carrying, it can be used as a supplement to the non-invasive ventilator. With the support of the cross-disciplinary training program of Shandong University, a cross-disciplinary platform has been set up by the Institute of Respiratory Sciences, Orthodontics and Control. The study on individualized treatment of sleep apnea and hypopnea syndrome by CT registration and computer finite element reconstruction was carried out successfully.
He actively carried out remote monitoring of family lung function, developed extremely low-cost portable lung function instruments, and worked with experts from the European Association of Respiratory Diseases Youth Committee to promote and validate in non-developed areas.
He designed several new non-invasive ventilation modes and produces prototypes, took the lead in long-distance management of non-invasive ventilation and clinical research on non-invasive high-frequency ventilation. The preliminary results have been exchanged in national conferences and meetings for many times.
