Doctoral Degree in Nursing

Program overview

This program will ensure that students get a solid basis in nursing, the varies methods of conducting scientific research, and the development of professional skills. During the first year, the main focus will be on expanding one’s knowledge of the field and improving the student’s ability to conduct high quality scientific research. In the second year, a topic will be chosen for the dissertation and the associated research proposals will be made. After getting approval from the dissertation committee, students can start extensively focusing on their dissertation study. The remaining second, third and fourth years will be devoted to carrying out the research proposal for the dissertation, of which an important part is publishing papers in relevant academic journals. In the fourth year, the student will finish his/her dissertation and, after defending it, will be awarded the title of Doctor of Medicine in Nursing Science.

Aim of the program

To educate the next generation of nursing talents that are able to compete with their peers in the global job market. Through extensive training and research practise, the student will graduate and hold the doctoral degree enabling him/her to work in the most qualified and prestigious jobs related to nursing, especially in academia.
